The countdown to open enrollment season

Are you ready for open enrollment season for health insurance? In Colorado, the 2017-2018 open enrollment period starts on Nov. 1, 2017 and runs through Jan. 12, 2018. That’s a shorter window of opportunity to enroll than last year, when open enrollment ran through the end of January.

There’s an even earlier deadline if you are changing plans or want your coverage to be effective starting Jan. 1. In that case, you must have your application submitted by Dec. 15.

Despite efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, it’s still the law of the land.
