Don’t let open enrollment season slip by this holiday season! We know that the holidays are a very busy time of the year. But open enrollment runs only through Jan. 31. There’s an even earlier deadline — Dec. 15 — if you want to avoid any gaps in health insurance coverage.

You must have your health insurance application submitted no later than Dec. 15 to have coverage effective on Jan. 1. If you have not applied for health insurance by Jan. 31, you’ll only be able to get coverage in special circumstances throughout 2017, such as if you lose a job, have or adopt a child or get married.
